The Outdoor Shop Website Trading Terms and Conditions
(the fine print)
All sales from this website are made under full compliance with the laws of New Zealand including: Fair Trading Act, Commerce Act, Sale of Goods Act, Consumer Guarantees Act.
Consumer Guarantees Act 1993:
The Consumer Guarantee Act sets out minimum standards for goods sold by The Outdoor Shop. In the event that goods sold are not of merchantable quality or are faulty, the customer has the right to a repair, replacement or a refund.
Fair Trading Act 1986:
The Fair Trading Act is designed to protect the customer from being misled, either intentionally or unintentionally. This Act applies to all aspects of the promotion and sale of goods and services including: pricing; where the product was made; where the product is from; the meeting of New Zealand safety standards; availability of products in store and the sales techniques used. The Commerce Commission enforces the Fair Trading Act 1986.
In this website errors in product description, typographic, pricing and photographic are unintentional and subject to correction.
NZ Jurisdiction:
Any purchase is subject to New Zealand jurisdiction and any actions in relation to goods sold under any transaction or claims for compensation arising there-from may only be brought under New Zealand Law.
Prices:
All prices quoted in our website are in New Zealand dollars and include New Zealand Goods and Services Tax. All purchases placed from and shipped to any country other than New Zealand will be zero-rated for Goods and Services Tax and this amount will be used to offset the overseas shipping costs.
International Customs and Import Duties:
Any customs duties, brokerage fees and import taxes that are levied by the shipper or the importing country are the responsibility of the customer.
Shipping:
Unless specified or alternative arrangements are made with the purchaser, orders will be shipped using the most economical carrier, which is typically Fastways courier (signature required) in New Zealand and Courier Post outside NZ. To simplify shipping costs all orders incur a standard NZ$10.00 postage and handling fee.
You may cancel any order, without penalty, prior to it shipping. Once your order has shipped from us, or our suppliers, it cannot be cancelled.
If a package is returned to us as undeliverable for any reason (except where the return is the fault of the shipping company or us), you will be charged both outbound and inbound freight, as well as for shipping the product again to a different address.
Exchanges:
If your clothing item is in like new condition, you may exchange it for a different size or color. You will not be subject to a restocking fee in this case, but you will still have to pay any applicable return shipping. This service does not apply to ‘next to body’ items. If an item is to be returned, you must first contact The Outdoor Shop at the address below to ensure that the different size or colour is available before you return the goods.
Right to Purchase:
We reserve the right to refuse any order, for any reason.
Security:
The Outdoor Shop uses secure data networks protected by industry standard firewall and password protection systems. Credit Card details are held on a secure server only during the order process and are then immediately deleted. We accept payment only through Visa and MasterCard credit cards.
